Scottsdale, AZ. On April 25th, at a convention sponsored by the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) held in Scottsdale, AZ, CentraCom Interactive was awarded first place in a national competition that pitted a CentraCom marketing department entry against entries produced by other telephone company marketing departments across the United States. CentraCom won the award for their call-services brochure entitled Making Your Telephone Work Harder For You, which was judged to be the top rated single-target marketing publication in its class. The annual competition is called the NTCA National TeleChoice Award program. Awards are given in several catagories that differentiate competitors on the basis of company size and whether or not the entry was produced in-house or by an outside ad agency. The competition was judged by an independent panel composed of top-rated national advertising company executives. The 12-page award-winning booklet features a caricature of a telephone handset who introduces the calling features offered by CentraCom. Easy instructions on how to use each calling feature are included.
The original idea was conceived and completed by Nate Palmer under the direction of General Manager Eddie Cox and then built upon by the marketing committee. Palmer, who is the owner of Designate Media has been recognized as a pioneer in the design and interactive computer industry for over 10 years.
